Who doesn’t love a beach community? There are so many great neighborhoods among the connected 10 barrier islands. You will find gorgeous homes, condos, and vacation rentals where you have the option of beach side or intercoastal waterfront living. The string of communities offers many places to dine, shop, or just bask in the sun. St. Pete Beach, with its pristine white sandy beaches, has its own ‘pink palace’ called the Don Cesar — Built in 1928 this historic luxury hotel has been serving guests from the high society of the jazz era, to World War II hospital and convalescent patients.
Now we get to enjoy it nicely refurbished with fine dining restaurants, outdoor dining, and a full-service spa right on the beach! The Don Cesar is walkable to one of St. Pete Beach’s neighborhoods called Pass-a-Grille: A strip on land that sits between the intercoastal waterway and Gulf of Mexico. Pass-a-Grille also has many casual restaurant options with beachy boutiques and rooftop bars. Not far up from St. Pete Beach we find many other communities, such as Treasure Island, Madeira Beach (home of John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk), North Reddington, Indian Shores, Bellaire Shore, and up the coast to Clearwater Beach. Each community offers something special with their own unique neighborhoods of beautiful homes, and even fixer-uppers.
